About MeI had my first taste of Pilates in 2004, not long after my second child was born. My painful backache drove me to the physiotherapist assigned to my GP's practice and although I was provided with exercises to do I was also strongly recommended to find a Pilates practitioner. Eventually I found an instructor who carried out home visits who assessed me and devised a tailored and specific exercise programme for me. My one to one sessions - and homework - over the next 8 weeks had a hugely positive effect on my backache, and even tempted my husband to join me in the exercises. Unfortunately the instructor who had ignited my interest in Pilates moved out of the area, which led to a frustrating time trying to find a class that would offer me the same level of expertise. I found it very difficult to find someone who came close to my expectations as I dipped in and out of classes for a few more years and the struggle to find the tuition I wanted led me to the conclusion that I should train to become a Pilates instructor myself. This would allow me to not only maintain my health but also provide the kind of training that I would like to receive myself.
It was very important to me to be trained to a high standard which led me to Polestar Pilates. Polestar is acknowledged as an international authority in Pilates education, and their teaching focuses on developing whole body wellness. |
Who I am |
I am based in Sevenoaks and teach from a purpose built studio in my garden. Within the studio is a Reformer with a tower bar conversion that maximises the amount of exercises available to my clients. As well as the Reformer I also utilise a wide range of other pieces of equipment which add to the options available to us and help keep our sessions interesting.

What can you expect from a session? |
The Initial session includes going through your aims and goals and to get you moving, this a great opportunity to learn more about your body and highlight your strengths and any weaknesses.The results will enable me to to devise a personal Pilates exercise plan to help strengthen and balance your body. I will be using a mixture of exercises on the Reformer, mat and other equipment to maximize the benefits. I am more than happy to discuss any questions you have before, during or after a session with me.
